This October Nancy Zerbo is doing a two week artists residency with OT Creative SPACE, Old Trafford, Gt Manchester.
Nancy recently graduated from The University of Bolton (July 2020) with a BA (Hons)Art & Design and is based in Liverpool. She is a creative practitioner with a background in Scenography, Fine Art and Textiles. She focuses strongly on self-awareness, connection and group participation with a keen interest in creative psychology linked to mental health and well being. Nancy works in the field of interactive arts setting up projects and events that invite communities to participate and make art together.
So far she led a naturel weave loom workshop in Hullard Park. Together with the local community some vibrant delightful artworks were produced, made through a creative mindful approach with the natural environment. More recently she delivered another community art workshop; incorporating the use of a swinging pendulum and performance to create beautiful spirographs drawings …again the process itself was so fore filling for local residents , instilling a sense of well being and wonder through repetitive hypnotic markmaking.
Throughout her residency Nancy can be also be seen making art in the window space of OT creative space, incorporating performance, installation and video.
