Artist Statement

This series addresses self-awareness, mental health and protest against the dark side of our current historical context, as well as exploring how I can use art to liberate myself and protest against the concept of life put on hold and violated perhaps for a dirty political purpose.
The work consists of 3 large-scale fine art photographs, 5 mixed media flags, a mixed media textile piece and an interactive art space.
As an artist, it is critical to figure out how I can collaborate with others to create an experience that can entertain those who participate as well as those who simply observe.
