Artist Statement

I am currently working on the theme of interior spaces. I chose to paint rooms from my imagination inspired by the theories of Carl Jung. His theories of the different personas and the meanings behind them intrigued me and inspired me to use spaces instead of painting people or figures.

The colours I have used are vibrant and the materials are acrylics on wooden boards and sometimes masking tape. The scale of my paintings is changing from time to time and that is the reason why I like going from large scale to small scale.

I have been inspired by artists such as Francis Bacon, Wassily Kandinsky and Andy Warhol.
